Microsoft Platform Overview - Today and Beyond - David Chou Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), Web 2.0, and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS); are of the most prominent trends driving many fundamental changes today, and have helped shape a new era in technology. Application platforms are also evolving to support today's environment, and help prepare for what's beyond. This presentation will discuss Microsoft's vision of the future, and how innovations on the Microsoft platform are driving towards a more diversified, higher-level, and more comprehensive support across a myriad of technologies. We will have an interactive discussion on "what's available" and "what's possible" on the broad Microsoft platform, where our .NET skills can be leveraged to develop next-generation applications.

David Chou
David Chou is an architect in the platform evangelism organization at Microsoft, tasked to collaborate with local organizations in the advanced and emerging areas in architecture such as enterprise architecture, SOA, Web 2.0, SaaS, Software + Service (S+S), etc., and to support decision makers on defining technology adoption strategies. Drawing on experiences from his previous jobs at Accenture and Sun Microsystems, David enjoys helping customers create value from using objective and pragmatic approaches to define IT strategies and solution architectures. David's recent projects include enterprise SOA initiatives using the Microsoft platform at major corporations, as well as Silverlight and Windows Live Platform implementations at web companies.
